This comprehensive course consists of 6 nationally recognised qualifications. The course teaches the security professional the required “in-depth” analytical skills needed for the planning of Complex, practical operational solutions in both permissive and non-permissive environments by the collection and analysis of actionable intelligence gained from various sources and platforms.

Course Qualifications:

• Level 1 Certificate in Mental Health First Aid (QCF)

 Level 3 First Aid at Work (QCF)
 Level 2 in Cyber Awareness (QCF)
 Level 3 Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (QCF)
 Level 4 Diploma in Intelligence Operations (QCF)
 Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection (QCF)

 

Level 2 in Cyber Awareness (QCF)

The Level 2 in Cyber Awareness is a new qualification and is aimed at a basic level so no “In Depth” computer skills or knowledge are required.

Units:
• Legislation; ISO 2700I, ICO and its responsibilities, Company governance and policy examples, Data protection act, Cyber Essentials, Security breach examples within industry, GDPR 2018
• Governance; Writing company cyber policy & SOP’s, to include; Access control, passes, visitors, mobile phones, IT Policy, Securing Data
• Passwords; Security breach examples, Security of passwords & validity
• Risk Mitigation; Types of cyber security furniture & vulnerabilities, Types of security locks, disaster recovery, product assurance, business continuity, cyber threats, safety & security
• Auditing; Security reviews, reporting incidents & procedures in line with legislation, vulnerability & risk assessment, reporting to stakeholders, asset registers & accounting, conducting  an audit
• Practical Assessment

Level 3 Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (QCF)

The Level 3 Diploma in Intelligence Analysis is a new qualification that will enable the analyst to analyse intelligence through various methods which will then be formatted into a product for actionable intelligence to cover threats and risks. This Diploma is based around theory elements with practical modules working in groups to produce quality intelligence reports and products to be used in benign or hostile environments.

Units:
• Apply terms of reference for an intelligence analysis product
• Evaluate information gathered for intelligence analysis
• Apply analytical techniques to interpret information for intelligence analysis
• Make judgements based on assessments developed through intelligence analysis
• Create an intelligence analysis product to support decision making
• Disseminate the intelligence analysis product
• Evaluate the outputs of the intelligence analysis product
• Review the type of information used in intelligence analysis

Level 4 Diploma in Intelligence Operations (QCF)

The Level 4 Diploma in Intelligence Operations is recognised within industry and at government level, should the learner wishes to pursue a career at within the intelligence industry. The current hostile threats mean that industry recognises those with a credible intelligence qualification which can often lead to a challenging and rewarding career. Career prospects and examples are given throughout this Diploma. assessments.

The awarding organisation for both the Level 3 & Level 4 Intelligence qualifications is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Units:
• Establish and interpret requirements for intelligence products
• Evaluate information gathered for use within intelligence products
• Apply analytical techniques to interpret information for intelligence products
• Develop assessments from intelligence analysis
• Develop recommendations from the results of intelligence analysis methodologies
• Create intelligence products to support decision making
• Disseminate intelligence products
• Evaluate and report information elicited in an intelligence setting

NB: Both the Level 3 in Intelligence Analysis and the Level 4 in Intelligence Operations requires the learner to conduct 60 hours of pre-course learning which is provided 3-weeks prior to course commencement

Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry (QCF)

The Level 3 Award for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry is a qualification for individuals who work or would like to work as Close Protection Officers (Bodyguarding). It is based on and endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Specification for Learning and Qualifications for Close Protection Operatives and in Conflict Management 2014. Our instructors are recognised as SME’s within industry having worked in hostile and challenging environments often at government level protecting high value individuals, assets and locations. Examples of which will be explained and presented throughout the course. This qualification is rewarding and challenging and encourages learners to work in a group and plan operations using their
intelligence knowledge gained through previous elements of the course.

Successful completion of the qualification enables learners to apply for an SIA licence in Close Protection. Further information about who requires a licence is available from the SIA. The qualification is broken down into 3-units as follows:

Unit 1:  Principles of Working as a Close Protection Operative in the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Working as a Close Protection Operative in the Private Security Industry
Unit 3: Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry
Unit 4: Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry
Unit 5: Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry
Unit 6: Application of Physical Intervention Skills for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry 
Unit 7: Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work / Level 1 Award in Mental Health First Aid

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work. It is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. The qualification is broken down into 2 units as follows:

Unit 1: Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
1. Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
2. Be able to assess an incident
3. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
4. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
5. Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
6. Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
7. Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
8. Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury

Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
1. Be able to conduct a secondary survey
2. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints
3. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
4. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries
5. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds
6. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury
7. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
8. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
9. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness

NB: This course is designed to be intensive and challenging to replicate the role of a high-level security professional. Candidates will be required to work long, unsociable hours and produce homework and practical assignments throughout the duration of the course.

Course cost – £6,753
(The IA-CP course is fully government funded via the ’19+ learner loan’, repayment example – repay only when earning over £27,295 per year at £7 per month. Monthly payment amount increases incrementally in higher earning brackets)

Course cost includes half board accommodation and all certification.
